Species include octopus, table corals, mantis shrimp, sweetlips fish, clownfish, lionfish, fairy basslets, flatworm, soft corals, whitetip reef shark, lizardfish and brown damsel fish. Mapping Bahama's coral reefs

An important step in designating Marine Protected Areas is a careful mapping of the area and a modeling of what would occur once the area was protected. According to the news report, Living Earth Foundation has been doing this in the Bahamas and expects to complete the work soon.
